In the quiet, misty hills of Mahabaleshwar, more than 70 years ago, a small shop named Cottage Industries Emporium opened its doors. It was more than a store — it was a dream. A dream my grandfather nurtured with every thread he touched, every artisan he uplifted, and every traveler he welcomed. It stood not just for quality, but for soul — Indian heritage in its purest, most tangible form.
I grew up surrounded by those threads. Among shelves lined with vibrant weaves and under the patient tutelage of my father, I saw how textiles could speak — of warmth, of celebration, of identity. But even then, I knew the story wasn’t finished. There was a chapter waiting to be written — one that could take our legacy beyond the hills, into homes and hearts across the world.
That chapter is Stole & Yarrn.
I’m Priyanka Arora — the third generation in our family business — and Stole & Yarrn is my way of taking my grandfather’s dream global. What began in a cozy hill-town emporium now travels across India and beyond, in the form of thoughtfully designed stoles, ponchos, and home accents. Each piece is crafted with love, detail, and the same values my grandfather believed in — quality without compromise, beauty that feels personal, and tradition with a modern heart.
