At Stole & Yarrn, every piece begins with the hands of artisans.

We create 100% fine wool stoles and shawls that combine traditional weaving techniques with modern design sensibilities.

Each piece goes through a meticulous process:

  • Finished with delicately hand-placed crystals that catch light beautifully

Our designs are intentionally limited to 30–50 pieces per style, ensuring rarity and preserving the individuality of handmade work. Because each crystal is placed by hand, no two pieces are ever identical.

Our Heritage

More than 70 years ago, in the quiet hills of Mahabaleshwar, a small shop named Cottage Industries Emporium opened its doors.

It was founded by my grandfather with a simple belief — that the beauty of Indian craftsmanship deserved to be experienced and celebrated. Travelers visiting the hill station would step into the store and discover handwoven textiles, traditional weaves, and artisan creations from across the country.

But what my grandfather truly built was something deeper than a shop.

He built trust, relationships with artisans, and a space where heritage could live on through craft.

For decades, the emporium became a destination for people seeking textiles that felt authentic, soulful, and enduring.

A Third Generation Vision

I’m Priyanka Arora, the third generation in our family’s textile journey.

Growing up around fabrics, I saw how textiles could hold stories — of celebrations, travels, memories, and family traditions. My father continued the legacy of the emporium, and through him I learned the importance of craftsmanship, patience, and respect for artisans.

But I also believed our story could travel further. 

Stole & Yarrn was born from that vision — to take our heritage beyond the hills and share it with the modern world.

What started as a legacy in a small mountain town now reaches customers across India and internationally, through thoughtfully designed stoles, shawls, ponchos, and home accents.
